The challenge
California’s SB 1383 set a goal of keeping 75% of organic waste out of landfills by 2025. Cities had to help residents understand what that meant on trash day. Carson’s Public Works Department needed a publication that made the new rules feel simple.
Our approach
We designed the Summer 2023 Environmental News Special Edition. It opened with a clear, friendly explanation of the law. Inside, residents found what can and can’t go in the organics bin, plus bulky item pickup and Clean Environment Week. We delivered it press-ready for a citywide mailing.
