Opening each conference day with a laugh
We created a short comedy video for each day of a statewide HR conference. Each one played just before the keynote and showed attendees what the day had in store.
A statewide HR association
The challenge
The association’s annual conference offered much more than sessions. Attendees could visit a marketplace expo, get a free headshot, meet with a career coach, prep for HR certification, and unwind at evening events with food, drinks, and live entertainment. The team wanted a fun way to make sure people knew about all of it.
Our approach
We built each video around a moment every HR professional knows: an employee called into the office over the handbook. In each one, the HR manager is trying to leave for the conference, and the conversation keeps drifting to everything waiting there.
Day one covered the expo, headshots, career coaching, and the evening food and drink pairings. Day two highlighted the conference app, the social media buzz, the career center, and an evening party with live music. Day three pointed people to the certification lounge and the closing session.
Each video played just before that day’s keynote, so attendees started each day together with a laugh and a preview of what was ahead.
