We’re excited to welcome Alejandro Rodriguez and Nathalia Flores, the first two interns in Sur-Ryl Marketing’s new internship program.

Both bring a curiosity about how people respond to marketing. Alejandro approaches that question through research and data. Nathalia explores it through visual design. They’ll have opportunities to build on those interests while contributing to client work alongside our team.

Meet Alejandro

Alejandro joins us as our Marketing Coordinator Intern. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Management and Business Economics at the University of California, Merced, and is now pursuing a Master of Science in Business Analytics at USC’s Marshall School of Business.

His interest in marketing goes beyond how a campaign performs. He wants to understand the people behind the numbers and use that understanding to help organizations make better decisions.

Through a data analytics fellowship with COOP Careers and earlier work with LA-Tech, Alejandro has gained experience turning research into practical recommendations. One project explored how women perceived the safety of autonomous vehicles and how those perceptions could inform marketing.

At Sur-Ryl Marketing, he’ll bring that perspective to market research and campaign analysis, helping our team translate findings into useful guidance for clients.

Meet Nathalia

Nathalia joins us as our Graphic Design Intern while pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design at California State University, Long Beach. She expects to graduate in 2027.

She’s interested in how individual design choices create a larger experience. Escape rooms are one source of inspiration: she hopes to create visual identities that draw people into a brand’s world with that same sense of immersion.

Her experience includes a brand research workshop at CSULB and a design internship creating marketing content for a pet-tracking app. She also works as a technician in the university’s graphic design studio, helping fellow students with printing and equipment.

Nathalia is eager to learn how professional projects unfold, including the business side of working with clients. Here, she’ll explore those interests through design assignments and feedback from our creative team, beginning with a client logo project.

Learning alongside the team

The paid internships were developed with LA-Tech.org and the County of Los Angeles. Both are remote, with schedules designed to accommodate school and time set aside for guidance.

We’re looking forward to seeing how Alejandro and Nathalia build on their experience and what we’ll learn from the perspectives they bring.

Welcome to the team, Alejandro and Nathalia. We’re so glad you’re here.
