From storefront to mobile app
A modern brand and a launch video helped Gladstone Insurance introduce a mobile app that put car insurance shopping in drivers’ pockets.
Gladstone Insurance

The challenge
Gladstone Insurance helped Southern California drivers find low-cost auto insurance from its storefront in Lancaster. To grow beyond that one location in a hyper-competitive market, the agency’s visionary owner planned a mobile app that would change the way people shop for car insurance. A big idea like that needed a brand ready to carry it and a smart plan for bringing it to market.
Our approach
We started with the logo. Gladstone’s black and orange stayed, and everything else got simpler. The new wordmark sets GLADSTONE in clean, open letters, with INSURANCE tucked neatly underneath. A single sweeping line arcs over the name like the profile of a car, a quiet nod to the drivers the agency serves.
With the new mark in place, we carried the look into a new website, social media graphics, print pieces, and graphics for the app itself, so customers saw the same Gladstone everywhere they met it.
To introduce the app, we produced a short launch video that shows drivers what they can do from their phones: shop more than 140 auto insurance companies at once, manage a policy, and pay a monthly premium.
Results
Years later, Gladstone Insurance still uses the logo we designed. A logo is a long-term investment, and we love seeing this one still going strong.
